Sari

Sari Breznau is the director and co-founder of Singing in the Rain. She is currently completing her Masters in Choral Conducting at Cal State LA in the summers, and she holds a BA in Music from Western Washington University, where she was the choir queen, acting as Concert Choir President, alto section leader, University Choir Assistant Conductor and Music Librarian.

In addition to Singing in the Rain, she is the Music Director at the Church of Mary Magdalene, a church serving homeless and formerly homeless women in the Seattle area, as well as a music teacher at TOPS K-8 alternative school.

Sari is also a well-known performing artist with Circus Contraption, Seattle’s own one-ring circus, and Orkestar Zirkonium, a Balkan-inspired brass band. She won 1st place in the Stranger’s annual Pizzazz! Talent Show with her signature comedy opera piece, and has toured and recorded extensively with several different projects.

Some of Sari’s fondest memories from childhood involve singing in the car on road trips with her family, and she believes wholeheartedly in music’s ability to bring people together, inspire community, and make you feel good!
