The brand new Singing in the Rain Home School Choir was launched in January of 2010, to respond to the needs of home schooling families interested in giving their kids the opportunity to sing in a group during the day. The group meets for an hour a week for ten weeks, culminating in an evening concert for friends and family. We meet in the Community Room of the Toshiro Kaplan Artist Lofts in Pioneer Square. Parents and kids all sing together, creating a body of great songs you can all enjoy practicing at home. Choir rehearsals are a mixture of rehearsing songs and learning music reading skills, so kids are not only singing beautifully and having a great time, they are learning life long musical skills.
